Dakine won a new lifetime customer
Dakine 101 Backpack is the perfect bag for any college student that likes to remain organized. From its compartments to its comfortability, the Dakine 101 is one of the best backpacks on the market right now.
The 101 Backpack has a tremendous amount of useful compartments to suit the needs of any college student. In your backpack it will include two major compartments, a few ‘hidden’ pouches for extra storage, as well as an array of miscellaneous ones. On your bag you will find multiple felt-lined pockets for various items such as a laptop holder, sunglasses holder, tablet holder, calculator and cell phone holders. These felt-lined pockets give an extra padding and non-scratch surface to protect all of your valuable items. On the back of your bag you will find a vertical zipper compartment called a security pocket, the purpose of this pocket is to protect valuables, such as passports, when you are traveling abroad. Since this pocket cannot be opened unless the backpack is off of your back, it practically makes whatever you put in there 100% protected from theft. Adding the space between the large pockets and the smaller extra pockets, this bag will be able to carry anything that a college student would need to carry on a daily basis.
Comfortability is the main factor that makes this backpack so great. If you are like I was you might be tired of feeling like you are being dragged down by your backpack. With the Dakine 101, that is a thing of the past! Your bag’s straps will form to your back making yourself one with the backpack. The adjustable chest strap and arm straps add a more customizable fit to any body type. The back of the bag as well as the shoulder straps are made of a dry-mesh material; this material helps circulate air between the backpack and your body helping keep you cooler than with most backpacks. Another plus about this material is that it doesn’t cut up the bottom of shirts like a lot of backpacks I used to use.
The Dakine 101 Backpack is by far the best backpack I have ever used. I do and will continue to recommend this product to anyone.

Not as advertised !!
By Destiny M Ford
The bag itself is fantastic, it' exactly what I needed; decently padded laptop compartment, lots of other just in general pockets, and nice padding along the back all at a fair price. The problem thou is that it is advertised to fit up to a 15inch laptop, it CAN NOT hold that big of device. It barley holds a 13.3inch.
-Lots of pockets that can, overall, be used for various things
-Nice material (I wanna say that it's water resistant, but I don't know)
-It doesn't have the capability to hold what the bag was meant to hold, a 15inch laptop
-Also, it doesn't have that great of padding where it counts ,there's more padding in the tablet pocket than the laptop compartment

Great pack with plenty of compartments

Great pack with plenty of compartments! Quality and construction look great. Material seems durable! I got the black color, which is actually like a dark grey... which I'm actually quite happy with.
There's plenty of compartments

Love the fact that there's a mesh drink holder on one side, and a zipper compartment on the other. I always thought that 2 mesh drink holders was a waste.
There's an AWESOME security pocket in the back of the bag. Really going to love that when I travel!
I can't really hold it against the bag itself, since I'm thinking maybe it just doesn't work perfectly for my body (I'm 5'10" 165 lbs) but the straps on this bag seems to kind of sit wide on my shoulders, so that without the sternum strap on it constantly feels like they're going to fall off my shoulders.
The strap buckles are kind of loose. They're perfectly fine when you're wearing the bag and the weight is loaded, but without the friction from the weight, they're always slipping around. I never really had that problem with my Ogio.
This bag is wide! I wear 32" waist pants, and this bag is wider than my waist. It's kind of weird to walk around with a bag that wide.
All in all - I think because it's a pretty solid bag overall, I can get used to the cons. 4 stars!
