Victorinox Scores again!
By Amazon Customer
I had been looking for a secure, functional and durable bag in which to carry my Asus tablet and Bluetooth keyboard. Everything I found before the Almont 3.0 was either too large (made for a 15 inch laptop) or too small (accommodating only the iPad or 7 inch tablets) or flimsy looking.
The Almont 3.0 allows me to the size I require with the compact design I desire. The tablet pocket is well padded and let large enough that it fits my tablet in its leather cover to fit smoothly inside. There are two carrying pockets inside the fold over flap. The rear most is the actual tablet carrying compartment but, being deeper, it fits my Bluetooth 'wave' style keyboard perfectly. The additional padding provides superior protection, while the tablet,in its leather case, fits well into the front compartment.
The pouch on the front of the bag has a handy side zipper. This allows quick access to such things as cables, chargers, cleaning cloths, etc. I find the rear open pocket convenient for tucking in receipts, brochures, and other small to medium flat objects.
The construction and vertical orientation fit my needs perfectly. Materials are of the quality one would expect from Victorinox. The sturdy rip stop nylon quickly sheds any soil with the swipe of a moist cloth. The shoulder strap is very securely attached with military type 'X' in a box style stitching. I have heard that the front clips on several of these types of bags break easily. Again, Victorinox has chosen to use a heavier military style clip. I find it to be quite secure and durable. The clips and rings for the shoulder strap are made of similar material. They are stiff to clip on but not brittle. I expect that they, like the front clip and indeed, the bag itself will last a very long time even through less than gentle usage.
I have used this bag for several months and find it to be a convenient, functional and durable carrying case for my tablet. I have recommended it to friends who have both iPad and other manufacture tablets. It is a quantum improvement over the earlier Almont 2.0 bag which I considered and then rejected. Kudos to Victorinox for again designing a bag that I expect to last for years.

Good but not great
Good but not great. I bought this as a "murse" OK. Yes I admit I carry one sometimes. I occasionally need something for travel with my iPad and small camera (Fuji x20) along with a few items. What I like:
Well made in typical Victorninox fashio
Strong straps that are connected very well
Four seperate compartments, each with zipper.
Easy access to main compartmert and also vertical pocket in front just under flap
Grey color is very versatile and can wear with most anything
What I don't like:
Hardly any padding. I would still need to use a neoprene sleeve for my iPad and a neoprene lens bag as a sock for my camera.
No internal organization or small pockets for business card, pens, etc. You'll have to fish for small stuff you throw in there
Could use a pad with no slip rubber on the shoulder strap
No small handle on the top should you want to carry it by hand
I'll probably keep it for what I paid. But it could have been so much better with a few minor changes.

Needs more padding
I've been trying to find a good messenger bag for my Galaxy Tab S 10.1. I personally wear a Victorinox Chrono Classic so I'm familiar with the brand's quality. I have to say that I was very disappointed in this bag. I originally bought Mobile Edge Mini Messenger Bag- 9-Inch-13.3-Inch fits all iPad generations including iPad4 (Black/Red). It's a great bag, but I felt that it was too big for what I needed. I wanted to try the Victorinox because of their brand name and the design of the bag. I found out that the padding was extremely lacking. When it comes to electronics protection, I don't think this bag would cut it. The padding on the front and back of the main compartment is very thin and the bottom of the bag has absolutely no padding in the same tablet compartment. I think this will work great for anything other than a computer or tablet. I just would not trust putting something I spent $500 on in this bag.
